Making artwork is like a treatment for me to overcome my trauma. Inspired by the theory of ‘body without organs’ by Gilles Deleuze, I decided to listen and examine my body by utilising myself as an art tool.
I worked on a performance piece of myself drawing on a 200 x 141.1 cm sized paper. By restricting myself without using my hands and utilising the various body parts to doodle, starting from my mouth to toes, I was able to bring the elements of sounds and noises into the work. The process had a much different approach from sculpting, as I was able to visualise my relationships with my own body and materials.
