This piece was created as a result of the tragic reality of the cult movements in Japan, as experienced by my relatives in the past. A psychological strategy based on Freud’s theory of defence mechanisms and an awareness of the problematic dependency is something I wanted to portray. Human beings are flesh clad in the skin - made of things that others cannot possibly imagine.
